Dear Friends,

November and December are always busy months. It’s often hard to carve out time for all the things we feel obligated to do and the things we want to do. We hope that you find a way to carve out time for your church and God. Through the season we will have many opportunities for fellowship, community and reflection.

Here are some highlights for the months ahead:Thanksgiving 1

The UMW will meet November 12 at 7pm for a World Thank Offering program. The UMW Christmas Communion Supper will be December 10 at 6pm. For those who have been in the past you know how meaningful this service is. Reservations for dinner are requested, please contact the church office. If you cannot make if for dinner please join us for worship at approximately 7pm.

The annual Fall Vendor/Craft Fair and Pie Sale is November 22 from 9-3. A great way to start your Christmas Shopping and support your church. We will have a variety of delicious homemade pies for sale just in time for your Thanksgiving Dinner.

The Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service will be hosted here at West Springfield UMC on Thanksgiving Eve, November 26 at 7pm. This is a community event and all are welcome.

Order your Christmas Poinsettia now! Red poinsettias are $8 each (6″ pot) and can be taken home after service on Christmas Sunday December 21 or after Christmas Eve service on December 24th. You may also make a financial donation to the church ministry. Check the website for ordering information. The order deadline is December 10.

Christmas Eve service will be December 24th at 5pm. This will be a family service with participation form out youth. We look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ with you and your family.
