It’s all happening in November!

From the Pastor:

Recently a friend and colleague shared a video that features Polley Perrette, Abby from the TV show NCIS. She gives a wonderful testimony of her journey in faith fall-tree-churchand how she found the United Methodist Church. As I watched the video she reminded me why it is so important to be the the Church. I also realized that we have a lot to be thankful for and that we have not properly given hanks for it.
In the South there is a long standing practice of giving a portion of your crops back to the community. Large baskets of corn would appear on the steps of the church intended for the folks who gathered on Sun morning. Words alone are not sufficient to give thanks. Action must be a part of the thankful expression.
As the fall reminds us of the harvest, may it also remind us that we need to give God thanks for all that we are blessed with, and ask God for help to see the ways that we can give a thankful heart out time and talents as an expression of our gratitude and thanks.

Peace,
Rev. Bruce Arbour, Pastor
