Open or closed we still worship. Tomorrow we will be open for worship but I encourage you if you feel you need to stay home, please do so. Spend time in prayer (we certainly have enough to pray about!), read the scripture (Luke 5:4-11) and think about how serving Christ has been and could be in your life. We will try to video the service and post it.
#RedLetterChallenge – Week 1, BEING
Our Red Letter Challenge for Lent starts with the Week of Being: So many times Jesus talks about the importance of spending time and just being with him. Before he invites us to do things for Him, through Him, in this name, he invites us into a relationship. Our relationship with him will determine how effective we are at actually doing the things he asks.
Spend some time this week practicing your faith. Do you pray, worship, study? You know, faith is not confined to Sunday morning.
Lent Red Letter Challenge!

Beginning on the day before Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, you have a chance to give up one hour a day to God and learn more about Christ and more importantly deepen your relationship with Him. We will be offering a study group during Lent focused on the ‘red letter’ words Jesus spoke in the bible. We will be using a program created by Zach Zehnder called ‘Red Letter Challenge, A 40-day life-changing discipleship challenge.’ Each day there is a small reading and a challenge. In addition, we will have a kick-off on Tuesday, February 25th at church at 6pm and will meet weekly each Tuesday up through Holy Week.
The themes of the course focus on:
• Being
• Forgiving
• Serving
• Giving
• Going
Don’t have time on Tuesday evening? No problem, come to church any Sunday (10am) before Lent and we will give you a free copy of the book!
