The Council of Bishops have released their recommendation on the “Way Forward.” It was based upon the commission work. They are recommending the ‘One Church’ plan which allows for a diversity of opinion about sexuality. This allows for areas around the globe to adopt a cultural basis rather than a literal interpreted scriptural basis for allowing LGBTQ participation in the church. The next step for adoption with be at the special General Session in 2019 where the entire church will vote.
