Parables… parables…ugh. Why all these obscure stories that seem to make no sense today? Why on earth did Jesus talk to us in these parables… did he think we were children?
Today we are going to look at several short parables from Matthew including one that used to be my favorite, the mustard seed. You all know what they look like right? Tiny little seeds barely visible. I used to love the imagery of this one but then I went and studied it (that’s what a minister is supposed to do) and well, join us as we explore what’s behind those mustard seeds, yeast, treasures, pearls, and a whole bunch of crazy parables.
